Eleanor Coppola, is a film documentary and mix-media artist. She is well known for the prodction of //Hearts-of-darkness, A filmaker’s Apocalypse//. Upon the cruel death of her son at the age of 23, due to a boating accident. Throught her own greif she was inspired by an Irish site gathering structures of stone, at one time probably used for mortuary ceremonies, Coppola builds a circular space made of straw ballots. The structure invites visitors to enter through a translucent veil. At the heart of the chamber, guided by your senses, surrounded by the smell of straw, the whisper of an accumulation of salt grains, which is delicately covered by children voices reciting alphabets and numbers in many languages, one finds a meditative atmosphere.
