Lumina Project #2 presents Jonathan D. James Varcoe; an urban mixed-media artist that gives a passionately driven reflection on society’s ICONs. He is influenced by history’s influencers within music, science and the arts, and reflects upon their influence on the younger generations, as a homage, creating and strengthening heros of time. This is a Homage to the Heros of our time..
Varcoe’s work is apart of private collections. As he has a versatile artist direction, he has created and creates art projects for numerous companies and trademarks; such as creating heros of time portraits on a stonewall and nature’s organic moss and acrylics at Oslo Science Park; or creating the Kings Chair sculpture out of skiies for Holmenkollen Ski festival, which was later bought by a collector. Other trademarks are Porsche Oslo, Tag Heuer, Oslo Municipality, Absolut Vodka, Clas Ohlson, Universal Norway.
He presents an exhibition of ICONS in the space, as well as creating on-going work; resulting in an evolving exhibition.
